Common questions

Questions families ask us first.

Do all hearing issues need in-person tests first?+

Not always. Guidance and rehab planning can begin online, while formal audiometric diagnostics are coordinated only where necessary.

My child failed a school hearing screening — what do I do?+

A school screen is a pass/fail test, not a diagnosis. Start with a proper audiometric assessment (audiogram) at a hearing clinic, then bring the results to us. We guide you on what the results mean and what comes next.

When does hearing loss need a hearing aid?+

Generally when loss in the better ear reaches 25–40 dB or is affecting daily communication. An audiologist assessment determines this — and we help families understand device options and ADIP scheme eligibility before committing.

Can hearing loss be reversed?+

Sensorineural hearing loss (from noise, age, or nerve damage) is typically permanent. Conductive hearing loss (from infections, wax, or structural issues) is often treatable. Knowing which type you have is the first step — we help you get there.

What is the ADIP scheme and who qualifies?+

ADIP (Assistance to Disabled Persons) is a Government of India scheme that provides hearing aids to persons with disability below a certain income. We help families understand eligibility and the disability certificate process — though the certificate itself requires a government medical board.
