Common questions
Questions families ask us first.
Can online care help tinnitus?+
Yes. A large part of tinnitus care is counselling, sound strategy, and structured follow-up — all of which works well online.
Is there a cure for tinnitus?+
Not always a cure, but significant distress reduction is achievable for most people through structured audiological care and habituation therapy.
What causes tinnitus?+
Common causes include noise exposure, hearing loss, ear infections, jaw problems, and stress. Sometimes no single cause is identified. The clinical pathway focuses on reducing distress and improving daily function — regardless of cause.
Should I see an ENT or an audiologist first?+
An audiologist is the right first step for most tinnitus cases. ENT referral is escalated when there is sudden onset, one-sided ringing, or associated symptoms that need medical ruling out. We coordinate both.
Will tinnitus therapy make the sound go away completely?+
For some people, yes — habituation therapy can reduce tinnitus awareness significantly over time. For others, the sound remains but stops being distressing. Both outcomes are clinically meaningful improvements.
